About Debra Clopton

Debra lives in the country near the small Texas town of Madisonville with her husband, Chuck Parks, and her two stepsons. Her two adult sons and their families live nearby, and she feels blessed to have them all in her life and living so close. Along with her writing Debra helps her husband teach the youth at their local Cowboy Church. When she isn’t writing on her next book she loves to spend time with her beautiful granddaughter.

Debra enjoys long or short road trips and her career is perfect since she is often on the road checking out the scenes for her books.

She also believes whole heartedly in exercise and eating dessert first. She has a weakness for cheesecake and has been known on many occasions to eat two slices at the same time… followed of course by a long walk! A very long walk.

Since starting her career in 2005 Debra has written over 19 books, been awarded and or a finalist for many awards among them are: The Inspirational Readers Choice Award, The Carol Award(formerly known as the ACFW Book of the Year Award), Barclay Gold, Holt Award of Merit, e-Harlequins Readers Choice Award, Write Touch Readers Choice Award, Book Sellers Best Award, RT Magazine Book of the Year and an RWA Golden Heart.

Debra’s readers have described her books as refreshingly funny, a breath of fresh air, reflective, entertaining, exciting, and the list goes on. Debra praises God for giving her the ability to weave a story, a talent she has dedicated back to Him. Her hope is that through the humor and entertainment of her books God’s love will shine a pathway straight back to Him.
